Hi I'm Skyler, and I'm into crafts, sewing, baking, and other domestic intrigue!

Photo Albums

So I’ve been MIA for a while now. Things are happening. Some good, some less good, but I thought I’d finally share one of my projects I “finished” a while ago and let you know I’m still alive and everything!

My mom is great. She does it all. If blogging was a thing when she was raising us, she could’ve been one of those famous mommy bloggers. Anyway, one of the things she was so sweet to do was to make photo albums for all 4 of us kids. Here’s my stack (they’re empty now, but imagine them bursting at the seams with photos).

Seven different albums from birth to high school graduation. That’s a crap load of pictures. In my attempt to downsize our things a bit, I decided to go through all of the albums, trash photos that weren’t worth toting around the rest of my life and reorganize them into new albums. I was able to downsize from seven to just two We R Memory Keepers albums.I decided to to the We R books because that’s what I chose when I started Ada’s baby book and I was happy with it, so I decided that some uniformity wouldn’t go amiss. I also like that you can choose picture sleeves as well as scrapbook sleeves. I’m not a big scrapper, but having a few of those is fun and can help highlight some of my favorite pictures or vacations. I will say, I was disappointed they don’t carry picture sleeves for the smaller pictures from when I was a kid, but that’s ok!

It’s not all done, I still need to locate and print my college pictures, but I consider it a job well done. I’m actually really happy I did it. I was fun to go through everything and see some fun pictures I don’t know that I’ve ever really seen and to remember all of the amazing vacations my dad took us on. It actually took quite a long time, but now I can more fully appreciate my mom doing it for all four of us growing up.

Thanks mom and dad for a great childhood!

  3. Hello Web Admin, I noticed that your On-Page SEO is is missing a few factors, for one you do not use all three H tags in your post, also I notice that you are not using bold or italics properly in your SEO optimization. On-Page SEO means more now than ever since the new Google update: Panda. No longer are backlinks and simply pinging or sending out a RSS feed the key to getting Google PageRank or Alexa Rankings, You now NEED On-Page SEO. So what is good On-Page SEO?First your keyword must appear in the title. Then it must appear in the URL.You have to optimize your keyword and make sure that it has a nice keyword density of 3-5% in your article with relevant LSI (Latent Semantic Indexing). Then you should spread all H1,H2,H3 tags in your article.Your Keyword should appear in your first paragraph and in the last sentence of the page. You should have relevant usage of Bold and italics of your keyword. There should be one internal link to a page on your blog and you should have one image with an alt tag that has your keyword….wait there’s even more Now what if i told you there was a simple WordPress plugin that does all the On-Page SEO, and automatically for you? That’s right AUTOMATICALLY, just watch this 4minute video for more information at. Seo Plugin

  4. Your so blessed. When I was in Jr. High our house caught on fire, so I don’t have any photos of my youth. Treasure your photos.

    • I definitely do treasure them and hope my kids will too some day! Sorry for your loss, that must have been absolutely awful!
